Frederick (MD) based electric guitarist & guitar instructor Sam Biskin grew up listening to his Mom's favorite music (Opera, Frank Sinatra, etc) and his Dad's Jazz & Boogie-Woogie records. His first guitar teacher taught classical, his second jazz. He still owns his first nylon string guitar. Now known more for electric guitar, one of his favorite guitars is his cherry red Guild D35. An active member of a rock band and a country band, he is a popular guitar instructor. He is one of the founding members of the 'House Band' at the Frederick Coffee Co open mic series.
